Entity, attribute, attribute value, relationship instance, composite attribute, multivalued attribute, derived attribute, complex attribute,.......

Entity: An entity is a thing in the real world. It may be an object with a physical existence or an object with a conceptual existence. For example, a man, a building, a company, a school etc.

Attribute: Attribute is a property of an object or an entity. For example, a car has a color, a brand name, a model number, an owner’s name, type etc.

Attribute value: Attribute value is the real data of a particular entity for each of its attributes. In other word, associated with each real world entities are certain attributes that describe that entity; value of these attributes for any entity is called attribute value. For example, attribute value of first_name of attribute of student_name can be Gyanendra.

Relationship instance: Each relationship instance ri in R is an association of entities, where the association includes exactly one entity from each participating entity type. Each such relationship instance ri represent the fact that the entities participating in ri are related in some way in the corresponding miniworld situation. For example, in relationship type WORKS_FOR associates one EMPLOYEE and DEPARTMENT, which associates each employee with the department for which the employee works. Each relationship instance in the relationship set WORKS_FOR associates one EMPLOYEE and one DEPARTMENT.

Composite attribute: Composite attribute is an attribute that can be divided into smaller subparts, which represent more basic attributes with dependent meanings, is called a composite attribute. For example, the Address attribute consists of several domains such as house number, street number, city, country, etc.

Multivalued attribute: A multi-valued attribute can have more than one value at one time. For example, address of a person is a multi-valued attribute since a person can have more than one address such as Present and Permanent address. Upper and lower bounds may be placed on the number of values in a multi-valued attribute. For example, a bank may limit the number of addresses recorded for a single customer to two.

Derived attribute: If an attribute’s value can be determined from the values of other attributes, then the attribute is derivable, and is said to be a derived attribute. Example: consider attributes for an employee: birth date, current age; here, age is derivable by subtracting the birth date from the current date.

Complex attribute: Composite and multivalued attribute can be nested arbitrarily. Arbitrary nesting can be represented by grouping components of a composite attribute between parenthesis and separating the components with commas and by displaying multivalued attributes between braces. Such attributes are called composite attributes. For example, if a person has more than one address and each residence has multiple phones and address_phone attribute can be specifies as:
{AddressPhone( (Phone{AreaCode,PhoneNumber)},Address(StreetAddress(Number, Street, ApartmentNumber), City, State, Zip) ) }

Key attribute: Each real world entity is unique in itself. There are certain attributes whose value is different for all similar type of entities. Those attributes are called key attributes. These attributes are used to specify uniqueness constraint in relation. For example, a house has a registration number. This is a key of all entity of house.

Value set (domain): There is a range of values from which a particular attribute can take value for a attribute of a real world entity. For example, salary attribute of an employee must have value, let, from $2000 to $12000, and then all integers in range $2000 to $12000 are domain of attribute salary.

The various cases where use of a null value would be appropriate.

When there is an entity that has no value for its attribute, then we use a null value. A null value is not 0, but it is nothing value. One example is most Korean names have no middle name. If there is a name attribute with first name, middle and last name, a special value null should be given. Another example is, asylum applicant’s has no nationality. When they fill an immigration form for the particular country when they visit there, they do not write country’s name. So, in that situation their country attribute should be null. Another example is, when a student does not attempt an exam of a particular subject, his/her obtained marks of that subject should be null. If s/he attends the exam and all the answers are wrong then only s/he scores 0 marks.

The conceptual schema is a concise description of the data requirements of the users and includes detailed descriptions of the data types, relationships and constraints; these are expressed using the concepts provided by the high-level data model. These concepts do not include any implementations details; they are usually easier to understand and can be used to communicate with nontechnical users. The high-level data model enables the database designers to come up with a good conceptual database design.

Baglamukhi Mata

Bagalamukhi rules magic for the suppression of an enemy's gossip. These enemies also have an inner meaning, and the peg she puts through the tongue may be construed as a peg or paralysis of our own prattling talk. She rules deceit which is at the heart of most speech. She can in this sense be considered as a terrible or Bhairavi form of Matrika Devi, the mother of all speech. The puja be performed after bath. Take the water in right hand, recite the baglamukhi beej mantra and sprinkle water on yantra, your all wishes would be fulfilled.



Expounding the great power of the Goddess Baglamukhi the text Mantra Maharnnav states -"The Mantra of the Goddess has the power of the divine weapon Brahmastra instilled in it and the Goddess simply strikes terror in and paralyses the enemies of her Sadhaks. Repetition of her Mantra is enough to stop even a tempest."

What more can be said about this invincible Mahavidya who along with her 16 Shaktis (divine weapons) can subdue the most formidable of foes. Her greatness has been proven time and again over the ages. And not just great Siddhs like Matsyendranath, even rulers like Vikramaditya, Chandragupt and Aurangzeb regularly propitiated the Goddess for victory in life. The great western Tantra scholar Summerfield has gone so far as to state that the combined forces of the whole world cannot face the fury of the Goddess, who removes poverty, enemies, tensions with a single swipe of her sword. And I have myself seen several Sadhaks and disciples of Gurudev regain their lost positions and emerge victorious in seemingly lost battles of life through the power of Baglamukhi Mantra.

Changing units from CM to inches in ruler in Ms-word 2007.

Sometimes when you change display option from Office Button >>Word Option>>Advance>>Display, you can’t see any changes in ruler. Mostly it is because of Asian language compatibility. 

If you have this problem, you can correct this by doing following steps. 

  • Go to Office Button (Left top corner, round button) 
  • Click on WORD OPTION (Near the “Exit word” button)
  • Click on ADVANCED in the left panel.
  • Go to the DISPLAY.
  • Go to the Show measurement in unit of  drop down menu with Inches, Centimeters, Millimeters, Points, or Picas. Selcet one of them (e.g. Inches)
  • Click on OK

Now,

  • Press ALT+F11. You can see the macro editor. 
  • Press CTRL+G (or Go to View >> Immediate Window).  
  • In this window, type vba code as follows:

          Options.UseCharacterUnit =False

Then press Enter.

Now, it’s done. You can see your ruler in Inches.

Procedure to perform the pooja of Shri Baglamukhi

All the material used in the pooja of Shri Baglamukhi should preferably be yellow colored. Such as Haldi Mala (turmeric), yellow cloth, yellow flowers, yellow sweets, yellow asan (a cloth on which you have to sit) and to keep Shri Baglamukhi Yantra.

First of all keep some water in your hands and chant the mantra given below:

Viniyog
Om asya Sri Baglamukhi kavachayasya Naarad rishi nushtup kchandah Sribaglamukhi devtaa lam beejam aaim keelakam purusharth chatushtayarth jape viniyogah


And put the water on the Yantra or near Yantra and read following mantras-

Om hreem om may lalate ch Bagla vairi nashinee..

Gada hastaa sadaa paatu mukham may moksha daayinee.

Vairi jihwaadharam paatu kantham may Baglamukhi..

Bagalamukhi Ma

Ganesha implored and prayed Maa Peetambara at Mahavidhyasharam.
“Oh mother goddess! The one that has golden hair, and a golden vermillion in her hair, looking at us with her eyes that has golden lashes and golden eyebrows, the mother that is seated on golden throne, the supreme mother adorned with gold ornaments… Oh divine mother who is atop a golden chariot, the one that lives in a gold palace and whose aura is golden and her complexion is golden, the one laden with gold and oh mother your smile is also golden. Oh my charming mother… allow me to be a golden Ganesha of yours. Feed me your golden milk; give me the golden fruits and gold laddoos. Make me your gilded son oh mother….

And as he finished, Maa Peetambara was so pleased that she blessed Ganesha with a golden aura and complexion. He was soon clad in peetambar (yellow cloth), he was eating golden laddoos and Riddhi (Wealth) & Siddhi (Skill) both clad in yellow clothes and amazing gold ornaments; were seated next to him. Third energy Buddhi (Intellect) also came to him and attached herself with Ganesha permanently. Thus Shri Haridra Ganesha (yellowy like turmeric) emerged in Valga Mandalam.

Ganesha then implored the supreme mother to create the celestial chart of his life. He requested the mother Shri Maa Bagalamukhi to create golden Mahadasha, Golden Antardasha and Golden Pratyantardasha. Gilded Rahu-Ketu-Mangal, Golden Venus, all planets and planetary positions to be made golden. Golden planets looking the work, luck and birth plans. Golden words may flow from his mouth. The celestial golden pen to write his birth chart, Ganesha implored Shri Maa Bagalamukhi to bless him soon.

Shri Maa Bagalamukhi obliged and she told Shri Haridra Ganesha that “Whoever worships you; they will obtain whatever they ask for – that too very fast and quickly. Those whose golden phase of life is about to begin, will start to worship Shri Haridra Ganesha.”

The narration above I mentioned “Fast and Quickly” this is the forte of Shri Maa Bagalamukhi – she is speedy and swift. She obliges in minutes. She can solve problems and calamities that are complex and not the present birth – those which are applicable in births prior and further to this one; even those problems and knots & bonds are solved and broken by Shri Maa Bagalamukhi. Those who are after you; those malevolent deeds and experiments and scandals that are imposed upon your name and those enemies that are difficult to get rid of; are demolished in minutes by Shri Maa Bagalamukhi.

In the Great Weapons Era the entire universe was Weapon centric. Aadi Parashuram was grinding his mega axe; Shree Ram was adorned with his now and arrows. Raavan was howling with his Chandrahaas Axe. Aadi Rudra was running amok with a Trident. Aadi MahaKali was dancing with skull and sword in her hand. Yoginis were roaring with axes and swords in their hands. Aadi Karthikeyan was flying with his power and Aadi Indra was preparing is Vajra. Aadi Shree Krishna was playing with his Sudarshan Chakra and all the goddesses had mace, swords, snakes, shields and daggers in their hands.

Demons were making weapons of bones and skulls. Animals and birds were using theirbills, beaks, tails, paws and fangs as weapons. Humans were using their limbs in wrestling. Whatever one could lay their hand on, made a weapon out of it. Sages were using thought forms and Yagnik’s (those who utilize sacred fire pit) were using the sacred fire. The warlocks were casting spells and some even using rays of the Sun as a weapon. The Varuna God of the Wind had turned into a twister. Even Megh, the god of rains; was tormenting the earth in form of torrents. Asteroids were moving away from their paths and clashing into each others. Comets were wracking havoc on planets. So many types of weapons, arms and armaments had come into existence that even the supreme creator Bramha was terrified and he sat in solitary seclusion along with Vishnu. They started praying Bhagawati Tripur Sundari. As they went along in their worship, the celestial turmeric dewpond was being filled with a living throbbing energy field. That gave birth to a supreme Goddess that has innumerable hands and supreme reach. The Goddess took away all the weapons, arm and armaments from everyone and everything. The weapons were given small and miniature minute form. The usage of weapon was considered evil and harmful and a penalty was imposed on. Here is how the disarmament of the universe began. Vaishnav thought process began.

Thanks to Mother Goddess Valga imposed various rules and the majesty and magnificence of arms were introduced. This is how weapons research was contained. Armaments were made scarce for everyone, as weapons are a way to self discrimination and self destruction.

This is the golden age of the universe. Maa Bagala saves us from hurtling weapons. She is the ultimate thought form (Kritya). She eliminates and consumes all the physical, astral and spiritual weaponry that are against us.

Worship of Maa Valga is a complete science. She is a part of Shree Vidhya Kula. Any follower that worships Maa Valga develops a protective inner power within him self / herself. The dreaded weapons of diseases, pathos, separation anxiety never enters this person’s body. Impure thoughts and impure learning are unlearned. You know many times impure thoughts and impure activities invade out heart and mind, contaminated thoughts, impure acts, polluted environment and polluted food and drink enters our body; that leads to bodily diseases and psychosomatic diseases. Dermatological problems like severe itch and scratch, eczema are impure diseases. Attacking, kidnap of minors and women, theft, consuming narcotics, adultery are all worst routes to self destruction and Mother Goddess Valga saves us from all these. Curse, impure deeds, acts and annoyance are kept at by when one worships Maa Valga. Sh3e is the one that propagated clean environment in Eternal Universe and she is the one that can do it. Her target is cleaning of impurities of heart as well as mind and propagating pure Sanatana Dharma.

Baglamukhi Sadhna

Baglamukhi is the goddess of power to destroy the enemy, of black magic, of poisons. She rules over the subtle perception which make us feel at a distance the death or miseries of those we know. She incites men to torture one another. She revels in suffering. Though the procedure to perform the ritual is being given it is advised to perform the same under the guidance of Revered Gurudev Swami Bhaneshwaranand after receiving Baglamukhi Deexa..

Bagala or Bagalamukhi is the eighth Mahavidya in the famous series of the 10 Mahavidyas,Kali , Tara, Shodashi, Bhuvaneshvari, Chhinnamasta, Bhairavi, Dhumavati, Bagala, Matangi and Kamala. She is identified with the second night of courage, and is the power of Shakti or cruelty.

Obeisance to Shri Ganesha: Obeisance to Shri Radhakrishna

Om. Of this Hymn of Shri Bagala Mukhi, Bhagavan Narada is the rishi. The aspect of divinity is Bagalamukhi. The destruction by paralysis of one's enemies' speech, mouth, legs, mind, and the grace of Shri Bagalamukhi in the success of this aim is fruit of the mantra's application.

Om Hrim obeisance to the thumbs. Om Bagalamukhi to the index fingers Svaha. Of all the bad to the middle fingers Vashat. Om speech, mouth, feet, paralyses to the ring fingers Hum. Om peg! peg! The tongue! to the little fingers Vaushat. Destroy the mind! Hlim Om Svaha to the·front and the back of the hands Phat. Thus also in the heart and so forth. Now the meditation: Seated on a gold throne, with three eyes, wearing yellow, blissful, with limbs as bright as pure gold, wearing a garland of champaka flowers, with the moon as her diadem, with her hands holding a hammer, and a noose which binds the enemy; her limbs arrayed with jewels, in this way I meditate on Bagalamukhi, the All-Paralyser of the Three Worlds. Now the Mantra: Om Hvlim Bagalamukhi Paralyse the Speech, Mouth and Feet of all enemies: Nail down, Nail down the tongue. Destroy the mind. Hvlim Om Svaha.

Om. I worship Devi surrounded by yellow, wearing yellow clothes, jewel and unguent and ornaments, seated on the lion throne on a dais within a ruby pavilion in the center of the wine ocean, Who bears a hammer and binds the tongue of the enemy. The Devi who has seized the tongue and so forth of the enemies with her left hand, and who with her right hand hammers them, with yellow garments and with two arms -- her I worship.

Om. Wearing glittering gold earrings, merged in bliss, with a beautiful face and lovely breasts; radiant as bright gold, her face effulgent as the full moon. I meditate on Bagalamukhi, who with her hammer has killed my adversary, his unsteady rolling tongue having been pegged; the all pervading paralyser of speech and mind; who is seated on the corpses and skulls of one's fallen enemies, (their remains forming the base) for her lion throne in the pavilion in the center of a beautiful blossoming red lotus in the midst of the nectar-milk ocean. She bears a hammer, is as radiant as gold, causing woe to the places of the enemy.Whosoever meditates thus causes instant death to all humans (who are enemies.)

Whosoever should worship Devi's lotus feet devotedly, giving yellow flowers with his left hand, that mantrin's mantra becomes successful.

Whosoever wishes to subdue by the bija (mantra) should do the pitha meditation (i.e. on the red lotus). Remembering that. His enemy's mouth, speech and heart are paralysed, he causes this instantly.

Hail to you every day O Proclaimer, Speechless One, Beggar, Ruler of Earth, Cosmos and Men, Cool One, Cruel' One, Reconciling One, Wicked One, True Mother, Giving Success Quickly, Lame One, Proud One, Crippled One, All-Exterminator, Dull One, having-the' Yantra of all Yantras, O Shri Eternal Bagalamukhi, O Beautiful One:



Whosoever, knowing her mantra, should recite this hymn which crushes enemies in front of her yantra becomes the conqueror of the three worlds and renowned.

Hail to Mother Shri Bagala Lalita, Who is the Seizer of the Speech of the multitude of named people, the Paralyser of the Tongues of the Eloquent, the Appeaser of Terrifying Obstacles, Paralyser of the Evil, Dispeller of Poverty, Calmer of Cruel Kings, Pacifier-of the Mind trembling with anxiety like the deer, Attractor of Good Fortune, Merciful, Pure, Nectar-Like, Who causes cessation of Death and Murder, O Beauteous Mother.'

Mother, shatter my enemies' speech and their (wagging of) tongues. Peg their wet mouths! Destroy them entirely.! Paralyse all terrible things in the three worlds! Grind them to powder O Devi! Furiously beat them O Bagala, Golden limbed One, clothed in yellow, destroy the mind and lives of the mass of obstacles with one glance of your merciful large eyes:

O Mother-Bhairavi, Bhadra-Kali, Vijaya, Varahi, Vishva, Shraya, Shri Vidya, Maheshi, Bagala, Kameshi, Ram, Matangi, Tripura, Above All, Guardian of Heaven, Giver of Things, I am Your servant seeking refuge in You, Lady of the Cosmos! Protect me in war and in battle. Whosoever reads this auspicious text (whether) in the thick of war, in assemblies of thieves, in conflicts, in jail, on water, in magical attack, in litigation, in facing a king's wrath, at the time of an ordeal, at night, in fetters or in paralysis, in the slaughter of battle amongst enemies, in a desert, or in a forest, or at any time, becomes steady. One should never give this to those who are not devoted to the guru. One should meditate on she who has two arms, wears yellow garments, with three eyes, a body of effulgence, holding in her hands chisel and hammer, the Bagalamukhi.

MAA BAGALAMUKHI (Peethambari)

The peculiarity of MAA BAGALAMUKHI is she is always depicted as wearing shining yellow garments. She is called Peethambari. She bears a mace ( gadha ) in her hands. Both these are attributes of Lord Krishna. He is called Peethambar and Gadadhari.

The term Bagalamukhi is misleading, as she does not seem to have to have anything to do with Bad ( crane ). According to Bagalamukhi Rahasya she is Valaga Mukhi that is the remover of bad effects of other mantras. The Bagalasuktham in Atharva Veda also supports this view. But the term was twisted to keep it secret. Valaga became Balaga, as there is no difference between Va and Ba. Then it is twisted to Bagala to keep it secret. This is typical of many tantaric textx. I am not an authority on this.

MAA BAGALAMUKHI has been misinterpreted often and called a cruel Goddess. This is incorrect. She enables you to conquer your tongue ( sthambaya Jihwa ) and also your mind ( Keelaya Buddhi Vinasaya ) so that you attain supreme knowledge.

The Bagalamukhi Yantras is the most popular Yantra or I would say the largest selling Yantra in North India. I will give the reasons later.

The Mantra is

Om Hlreem Baglamukhi Sarvadustanaam Vaacham Mukham Padam Stambhay Jihvaam Kilay Budheem Vinashay Hlreem, Om Swaha!

जिह्वां कीलय बुद्धिं विनाशय ह्रीं ॐ स्वाहा । )

Om Hirim Maa Bagalamukhi, stun ( immobilize ) the mouth, tonhue and mind of all the bad people

In the myth, a demon named Madan undertook austerities and won the boon of Vak Siddhi, according to which anything he said came about. He abused this Siddha by killing people. Enraged by his mischief the gods worshiped MAA BAGALAMUKHI. She stoppes the demon's rampage by taking hold of his tongue and stilling his speech. Before she could
kill him, however, he asked to be worshipped with her, and she relented. That is why he is depicted with her.

The popularity of the Yantra is because of the belief that the Yantra and Mantra gives relief from the effect of other Mantras. The Mantras is compared to Brahmasthra the ultimate weapon. That is why MAA is called Brahmasthra Vidayai. The term Valga is because of this. In South India especially in Kerala ( where Mantrics and casting spells are widely believe ) almost everyone wears a Talisman with Sudharshana Yantra. This is supposed to ward off all spells. The similarity of MAA BAGALAMUKHI and Lord Krisha is shown again as Sudharshana Chakra is a weapon of Lord Krishna. This is an aspect, which David Kinsley does not seem to have covered. He was looking for
the bit of a horse since the meaning of Valga is rein. Since the Mantras are thought of in the Buddhi and uttered by the tongue, the Mantra says sthambaya Jihva and Keelaya Buddhim. But the point to be noted is to says sarva dhushtanam ( of all bad people )

This is very mild when we take into account of the fact that even in Tantric Slokas, we say things like Mama Sathrun seegram maraya maraya ( kill my enemies quickly ) Because of the connection with the tongue, the mantra is also used to win cased in courts ( to make the opposition counsel tongue tied).

Now where does a Bhakta fit in here ?
Right from time we were toddles, we were always instructed to ask for God Bhuddi and Good Education whenever prayed. As we grew older we were always asked to control or hold our tongue. The reason was that the mind is the source of all bad thoughts and the tongue is the point of delivery. We hurt more people with our tongue than with our fists. Tongue-lashing. Now if a person wants to evolve to a higher stage of evolution ( to become a better person than what he is today ) he has to control his mind and his tongue.

By praying to MAA BAGALAMUKHI, we ask her to control our tongue and mind. The term Sarva Dhushtanam includes the man who is praying if heis a dhushta. I believe that most of us except the exalted ones are dhushtas in some way or other. It is easy to say control your mind and your tongue. Most of our religious books ask us to do just that.
But it s very difficult. So we pray to MAA BAGALAMUKHI to help us in doing that.

These are my own interpretations and I cannot quote any authority. There are other Mantras or MAA BAGALAMUKHI and Dhyana Slokas, which reveal other aspects of MAA. But this is the best-known Mantras.

Before I conclude, it is difficult to find temples of the Dasa Maha Vidyas because they are Mantras. Neither the Vedic religion not the Tantric religion believed in Idol Worship. The Vedas had Homam and Mantras and Tantra had Yantra and Mantra. The Mantras are held to be the Deity. Later when Hindu Iconograpgy developed, the idols were made according to the Dhyana Slokas. The Shilpa sashthra gives the Dhyana Slokas. But the interpretation is left to the sculptor and his boss.

Again it is the Rishis who saw the vision of the Deities and wrote the Dhyana Slokas. MAA UGRAPRADHYANGIRA DEVI is the Rupam seen by Rishi Pradhyangiras. It could be that MAA MATHANGI is as seen as by Rishi MATHANGA.

In Tantric texts we find Gayatri Mantras for different deities. Many deities have their own Gayatri Mantra. These Gayatri Mantras are based on the Surya Gayatri, which is the First and the best-known Gayatri. These Gayatri Mantra are to be recited before the Moola ( Main or Basic ) mantra of the Deity. But these Gayatri which are more in the form of a prayer than a mantra. So there is no restrictions on the use of these Gayatris. I am giving below some of the Gayatris of MAA


MAA KAALI

Om Kaalikayai vidmaha, Smasavasinyai deemahi, Tanno ghora praochadhayat

MAA TAARA

OM Taraayai vidmaha, Ugrataarayai deemahi Tanoo Devi Praochadhayat

Aim Sukapriyayai, klim Kameswaryai deemahi Thannah Shyama praochadhayat

MAA DURGA

Kathyayanaya vidmahe, Kanyakumari deemahi Tanoo Drugai Praochadhayat

Though these Gayatris are given in some of the modern books none of the handbooks for Shakta like Saktha Promoda, Saktha Dharshanam or Sri Vidya Ratnakar include the Gayatri in the Mantra Japa Vidhis. These seems to be later additions.

The idea behind my giving the Gayatris is they are a short prayer for MAA, which can be easily remembered.

Khaptad Swami and His Shangri-la

Shiva Raj Shrestha ‘Malla’

When he came to Khaptad, he was already a very wise hermit and very as old as 60. Before this, as a medical doctor trained in England, he was once, desperately trying to save the life of a child. But minute by minute, the child was going towards the dark cave of the death. He found himself utterly helpless. Then, a hermit came in his town of Jammu-Kashmir with Himalayan herbs and power of Yoga, saved the life of that child. Then, the young doctor knew that the would power ( the energy of thought) and Himalayan herbs were far more powerful and useful than the modern medical science. He gave up his flourishing medical practice and started studying Vedas and Upanishadhas. He was spending more and more of his time with the spiritual gurus. Eventually, the well established doctor became Sri 1008 Paramahansa Schitananda Saraswati, popularly known as Khaptad Swami, who died on May 9, 1996, probably at the age of 130. (Khaptad Swami never disclosed his past identity as a true Hindu Yogi and wanted to get Nirvana in peace and in seclusion).

As in the Vedic times, as a hermit, Himalayas attracted him. He traveled throughout, from Kashmir to Meghalaya. But Khaptad Plateau of Far-Western Nepal attracted him most and he was pulled by the magical charm of this land of pre-historic Yakshyas and Haptalite Sakas and Khashas. Very soon, after establishing his hermitage over a small cave, he realized that Khaptad Plateau was the centre of ‘Latter-Vedic’ civilization (of Mahabharata period ) and an unfathomable storehouse of magical herbs. He had told a Nepali historian that he had seen some prehistorical archeological antiquities inside the deep birch forests. The ‘Nephtalites’ (later on called Heptali Khashas) had come from the west of Iran and crossed Himalayas and started a civilization in Khaptad Plateau. They were originally sun worshippers and devotees of Vedic god ‘Maruta’(later on called Masto) the shapeless god of wind. The ‘Masto Cult’ is even now, very dominant in this part of Nepal. As a travel writer says, a face to face confrontation with the typical western Chhetri inhabitants, possessing swarthy complexions and Caucasoid features and the head on collision with the Masto deity will be an experience of a life time, even now. One can imagine as to how a sophisticated intellectual Yogi and a former medical doctor like Khaptad Swami, must have lived and communicated with these Khasha Dhamis (Shamans) and buffalo herders, some 60 years ago.

Khaptad Swami knew from the study of Puranas, that Lord Shiva had, for the first time, used medicinal herbs to cure the sick in the foothills of Khaptad in Baidhya Nath in Acham, while waiting to marry Goddess Parvati. The Khaptad Baba, followed Lord Shiva and started curing the sick. He had also known that the heap of wealth of Lord Kubera, was in Badi Malika near Khaptad, but the wealth in the form of gold and precious stones meant nothing to him. Very probable is the fact that, he knew about the mineral deposits of gold, uranium, mica, aquamarine and other precious stones in this area, but never disclosed; fearing that the human greed will spoil this Shangri-la.

Khaptad Swami also knew that, the first one to practice yoga and propounder of ‘ Shankhya Yoga’ philosophy was Lord Shiva himself , and Khaptad was the most suitable place in the earth to practice Yoga and Meditation. He had enlightened thousands of people saying that if one is tired of chemical mixed food and allopathy, he should try to know his body, mind and soul and also get acquainted with Yoga and nature cure. He himself used to wind-back the clock of his life, to an ageless age, when and where, there were only his body, mind, soul and nature, under the shadows of Mahankala ( the God of Eternal Time and Space). For days together, it is said, he could live in this state of ‘Savasana’ without food, in the small cave under his hermitage, while there would be no human being for dozens of miles, and musk deer and leopards were the only company and the Plateau would be under 10 feet of ice. It is rumored that the late King Birendra requested the Swami to keep at least one helping hand as he had crossed 100 years of his life. Khaptad Swami in his last days, had even more detached himself from this world, but even then, the beauty and spiritual atmosphere of Khaptad always charmed him. He had once told this author that spiritual eco-tourism should be developed in Khaptad but strictly in a very careful and planned way.

He knew about the fragility of this most beautiful land and its extremely rare bio-diversity, especially of ‘Bog-Land System’ of natural lawns, full of flowering herbal plants, (looking like Persian carpets), shallow lakes-shining like acqumarine and turquoise, and the rolling hills of birch and blue pines. There are some 135 flowering plants recorded in Khaptad National Park situated on an average altitude of 3000m and with the area of 225 sq km, which is really a living museum of natural history and botanical garden. It is here, and only herb in the world, where one can find 400 herbal plants out of some 700 found in Nepal, concentrated within one day’s walking distance. Some 40 mostly rare wild mammals and 266 species of birds are recorded so far to be found here. Khaptad Baba would have been extremely happy to see students of science and culture from the colleges of Nepal, India, Bangladesh and from all over the world, visiting Khaptad Plateau for study tours. But most important tourism product, which he would have liked, would have been the Spiritual Treks and Meetings. Because it is here, where one is in face to face, with the ‘Virat Prikarti’ the most overwhelming ‘Mother Nature’, where one find himself in communication with his own soul and the eternal super soul called the God.

Baglamukhi is one of the ten Hindu Goddess of power.

In Hinduism, Bagalamukhi is one of the ten mahavidyas. Bagalamukhi Devi smashes the devotee's misconceptions and delusions by her cudgel. 

The name literally means “crane faced,” though this is a misnomer. The name 'Bagla' is a distortion of the original Sanskrit root 'ValgA'. She has a golden complexion and her cloth is yellow. She sits in a golden throne in the midst of an ocean of nectar full of yellow lotuses. A crescent moon adorns her head.Two descriptions of the goddess are found in various texts- The 'Dwi-BhujA' (two handed), and the 'ChaturbhujA' (Four handed).

The Dwi-BhujA depiction is the more common, and is described as the 'Soumya' or milder form. She holds a club in her right hand with which she beats the demon, while pulling his tongue out with her left hand. This image is sometimes interpreted as an exhibition of stambhana, the power to stun or paralyze one’s enemy into silence. This is one of the boons for which Bagalamukhi’s devotees worship her. Other Mahavidya goddesses are also said to represent similar powers useful for defeating enemies, to be invoked by their worshippers through various rituals.

The legend behind the origin of goddess Bagalamukhi is as follows:

Once upon a time, a Huge storm erupted over the earth. As it threatened to destroy whole of the creation, all the gods assembled in the Saurashtra region. Goddess Bagalamukhi emerged from the 'Haridra Sarovara', and appeased by the prayers of the gods, calmed down the storm.

Bagalamukhi maha mantram meaning is as below: “Oh Goddess, paralyze the speech and feet of all evil people. Pull their tongue, destroy their intellect.”

Major temples to the goddess are situated in the Himachal Pradesh in the north, and at Nalkheda at Shajapur and Datia in Madhya Pradesh. Nepal, where the worship of tantric goddesses had Royal patronage, also has a large temple devoted to Bagalamukhi in the Newar city of Patan. The territory of Bagalamukhi temple in Patan also has a couple other temples in there. Ganesha temple, Shiva temple, Saraswoti temple, Guheswari temple, Bhairabha temple and many other gods and goddesses. In Hinduism there are 330 million separate gods and goddesses. And it is the main difference between any other temple and Bagalamukhi temple that if someone worships all the gods in this temple, they would actually worship all 330 million gods and goddesses at one place.

I am really happy today. I have taken KLPT test on April 26, 2009 and I got the test result today. Surprisingly I scored more than I expected. Thank god, I wanted to score 250 for my scholarship. I have never expected more than that.

मिर्गौलामा हुने पत्थरीबारे धेरैमा भ्रम छ र यसमा कतिपय चिकित्सक र स्वास्थ्यकर्मीहरूको पनि हात छ।

आम जनमानसमा मिर्गौलामा हुने पत्थर औषधिले गाल्छ, गहतको झोलले पगाल्छ, बियर धेरै पिएमा निस्किन्छ, अपरेसन (चिरफार) गरेर ननिकाले फेरि पलाउँछ भन्ने भ्रम छ। बिरामी, तिनका आफन्त वा जान्ने-सुन्ने हरूले फैलाउने यस्ता भ्रममा चिकित्सक र स्वास्थ्यकर्मीले पनि बल पुर्‍याएका छन्। पिसाबरोग विशेषज्ञ युरोलजिष्ट बाहेकका कतिपय चिकित्सकहरू सोझ्ै चिरफार गर्ने या औषधि दिने गर्दछन् भने युरोलजिष्टमध्ये पनि उपचारका पछिल्ला विधि र प्रविधि नजान्ने वा प्रयोग नगर्ने केहीले आफूले गर्ने उपचार मात्रै ठीक र अरूको काम नलाग्ने भनेर भ्रममा पार्दछन्। औषधि दिनेमा आयुर्वेद, होमियोप्याथी आदि परम्परागत औषधि-उपचार गर्नेहरू पनि छन्।

मिर्गौलाको पत्थरीलाई कुनै औषधि, खाद्य वा पेयले गाल्दैन। यो जसरी निकाले पनि पाँच वर्षमा ५० प्रतिशत र २० वर्षमा ८० प्रतिशत बिरामीलाई फेरि हुनसक्छ। मिर्गौलाको पत्थरको उपचार त्यसको आकार, बनोट, स्थान र त्यसले मिर्गौलामा पार्ने असरमा भर पर्दछ। मिर्गौला र यसबाट पिसाब थैलीमा आउने नली यूरेटर मा हुने पत्थर ५ मिमिभन्दा सानो छ भने ९५ प्रतिशतको पाँच हप्ताभित्र आफैं निस्केर जानसक्छ। यस्तो पत्थरलाई केही नदुख्ने औषधि र प्रशस्त पानी वा झोल खाएर उफ्रिएमा पिसाबले धकेलेर निकाल्न सक्छ। पत्थरी भएका बिरामीले त्यसै पनि २४ घण्टामा दुई लिटरभन्दा बढी पिसाब हुनेगरी पानी वा झ्ोल पिउनुपर्दछ। गहत र बियरले पनि उही झ्ोल पदार्थले जति मात्रै काम गर्ने हो। गहतको झोल त हानिकारक नहुनाले जति पनि पिउन सकिएला, तर बियर त्यसरी पिउनुअघि त्यसले गर्ने अरू हानिबारे सचेत हुनुपर्छ।
 
पिसाबबाट आफैं निस्किन नसक्ने पाँच मिमिभन्दा ठूलो आकारका पत्थरले धेरै दुखाउने र छिटै मिर्गौला बिगार्न सक्ने हुनाले मिर्गौलाभित्र र युरेटरको माथिल्लो भागमा हुने त्यस्तो पत्थरलाई विशेष प्रकारको प्रविधि र मेशिनले फुटाएर निकालिन्छ। यसो गर्दा पत्थरको आकार १.५ सेमिभन्दा सानो छ भने बिरामीलाई अस्पताल भर्ना समेत नगरी शरीर बाहिरैबाट फोर्न सकिने इएसडब्लयूएल प्रविधिबाट सानो-सानो टुक्रा पारेर पिसाबबाट निकालिन्छ। पत्थर १.५ सेमिभन्दा ठूलो छ भने अस्पतालमा दुई-तीन दिन राखेर पीसीएनएल भन्ने प्रविधिबाट कोखाको पछाडिपट्टि करिब एक सेमिको प्वाल बनाई मिर्गौला भित्र पठाइने मेशिनको सहायताले फुटाएर बाहिर निकालिन्छ। युरेटरको तल्लो भागमा हुने पत्थरलाई चाहिँ पिसाब निस्किने प्राकृतिक बाटोबाट कुनै घाउ नपारी टेलिस्कोप छिराएर फुटाई त्यही उपकरण वा पिसाबबाट बाहिर निकालिन्छ।

मिर्गौलामा हुने पत्थर बाहिरबाटै वा शरीरमा सानो प्वाल मात्रै पारेर फुटाई निकाल्न सकिने भएकोले हिजोआज अपरेसन भन्दा यही उपचार विधि बढी चल्न थालेको छ। तर नेपालमा सरकारी अस्पतालमध्ये त्रिवि शिक्षण अस्पतालमा मात्रै भर्खरै शुरु भएको यो उपचार सेवा त्यति व्यापक हुनसकेको छैन। केही निजी अस्पतालले रु.३० हजारसम्ममा गर्ने यो उपचार सामान्य अपरेसनमा हुने खर्च (रु.२० हजार) भन्दा केही महङ्गो अवश्य छ; तर अपरेसनपछि ठीक हुन महिना दिन पूरा आराम गर्नुपर्ने, यसबाट ८-१० दिनमै स्वस्थ भएर सामान्य जीवनमा फर्किन सकिने हुनाले अन्ततः कमै खर्चिलो हुनजान्छ।

मिर्गौलाको पत्थर धेरै मानिसमा फेरि बन्न सक्ने भएकोले पनि सम्भव भएसम्म चिरफार नगरी निकाल्नु राम्रो मानिन्छ। 
मिर्गौलाको पत्थरी शताब्दियौंदेखि मानिसहरूमा हुँदै आएको रोग हो। अचानक पेट दुखेर अस्पतालका आकस्मिक कक्षमा आउने बिरामीमध्ये १०-१५ प्रतिशतमा यो भेटिन्छ। पत्थरी भएको मिर्गौलाले शरीरमा जम्मा हुने बढी पानी र अन्य अनावश्यक पदार्थलाई राम्रोसँग सफा गर्न सक्दैन, र त्यस्तो मिर्गौला आफैं कामै नलाग्नेसम्म हुनसक्छ। पत्थरीका कारण मिर्गौला बिग्रेको, डायलाइसिस वा प्रत्यारोपणजस्ता जटिल र अत्यन्त खर्चिला उपचारमा बस्नुपरेको वा सङ्क्रमण भएर बिरामीको ज्यानै गएको उदाहरण धेरै भेटिन्छन्।

Why does Snoop suppress the duplicate TCP acknowledgements it receives after retransmitting lost packets?

Snoop suppresses the duplicate TCP acknowledgements to avoid triggering end-to-end TCP retransmissions and congestion control. A Snoop agent maintains state for each TCP connection traversing the wireless gateway. TCP data packets sent from the wired to the wireless host are cached locally, until TCP acknowledgments from the wireless host verify that they were received. When duplicate acknowledgments arrive, indicating that a packet was lost, the packet is retransmitted by the agent from its local cache. The duplicate acknowledgments are then suppressed. This avoids conflicting local and TCP retransmissions by suppressing duplicate TCP acknowledgments while local error recovery.

Bagalamukhi is the Hindu Goddess of truth and deceit. She is one of the Mahavidyas, the wisdom Goddesses. She has the power to tell truth from lies, and to stun liars into silence. She is usually depicted dressed in yellow, seated on a golden throne, and surrounded by yellow lotuses. With one hand, she holds the tongue of a demon, and her other hand holds a club with which she will silence the demon. Bagalamukhi is called on by worshippers for success in stopping gossip, for victory in legal matters, and to undo the effects of black magic or the evil eye. Her name is also seen as Bagala, Bagla, or Baglamukhi, and her stotra of 108 names is as follows:

The legend behind the origin of goddess Bagalamukhi

The legend behind the origin of goddess Bagalamukhi is as follows.

A demon named Madan undertook austerities and won the boon of vak siddhi, according to which anything he said came about. He abused this siddhi by killing people. Enraged by his mischief, the gods worshipped Bagalamukhi. She stopped the demon's rampage by taking hold of his tongue and stilling his speech. Before she could kill him, however, he asked to be worshipped with her, and she relented, That is why he is depicted with her. She is almost always portrayed in this act, holding a club in one hand, with which she is about to strike her enemy, and with the other hand pulling his tongue. In this myth, by stopping the demon's tongue, she exercises her peculiar power over speech and her power to freeze, stun, or paralyze.


More than any of the other Mahavidyas, Bagalamukhi is associated with magical powers, which are sometimes referred to as siddhis, "accomplishments" or "perfections." Among her epithets in her hymn of a thousand names are She Who Gives The Eight Siddhis, She Who Gives Magical and Mystical powers (riddhis and siddhis), and She Who Gives All Siddhis. The invocation written around the edge of an amulet containing her yantra in the Tantrasara reads: "O Bagalamukhi, please arrest the speech of wicked people, paralyze their faces, fix their tongues and destroy their intellect." At the end of her stotra (hymn) in the Rudrayamala, it is said that those who worship her will be able to make their enemies deaf and dumb, destroy their intelligence, and turn their wealth to poverty. 와!! 나의 제일 좋아한 계절 또 왔다…

오래기다리다가 마지막으로 내가제일 좋아하는 계절, 봄이 또 왔어요. 힘든 겨울이 지나가지만 여름은 아직 멀어요. 밖에 꽃 만발하는것을 보니 마음이 너무 기뻐요. 이 계절은 우리 대학교 도 공원 처럼 아주 예쁘고 유쾌해저요.





우리대학교가 1 년에 딱한번만 이렇게, 여쁘게 보여요. 사랑하는 사람들이 너무 좋아하는 이 계절을 마음에 안들하는 사람은 없을것 같아요.

Bagalamukhi Yentra

‘या देवी सर्वभुतेषू विद्यारूपेण संस्थिता नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नम:।’

Bagalamukhi Yentra

Bagalamukhi means "The Crane-Headed One". This bird is thought of as the essence of deceit. She rules magic for the suppression of an enemy's gossip. These enemies also have an inner meaning, and the peg she puts through the tongue may be construed as a peg or paralysis of our own prattling talk. She rules deceit which is at the heart of most speech. She can in this sense be considered as a terrible or Bhairavi form of Matrika Devi, the mother of all speech. According to Todala Tantra, her male consort is Maharudra.

Seated on the right of Bagala is the Maharudra, with one face, who dissolves the universe.

The Bagalamukhi Mantra as per Mantra Mahodadhi:
